Classes

  • This is a beginner’s course created by the NRA to provide you with the essential information for selecting, safely handling, storing
    and cleaning a firearm.

    If you are considering buying a gun for the first time, or are looking to get familiar with the one you have - this course is for you.

    There will be no live-firing before, during, or after this course, but feel free to bring your unloaded gun and magazines with you to the class.

    Cost: $20

  • The completion of this course satisfies the required training to apply for a CCW permit in the State of Ohio.

    This is the NRA’s pistol basics course: Learn about pistol safety, nomenclature, ammunition, marksmanship fundementals, gun storage, shooting positions, and more.

    Students will take a written exam and pass a shooting qualification before earning a certificate of completion for the course.

    You will need to bring:

    • Safety Glasses

    • Hearing Protection

    • Notebook/Pen

    If you choose to bring your own firearm, please bring your own ammunition (100 rounds recommended). If you do not own a firearm or do not want to use your own for the class, we will provide a firearm and ammunition for you to use for the live-fire and qualification portions.

    Cost: $200

  • This is the NRA’s rifle basics course: Learn about rifle safety, nomenclature, ammunition, marksmanship fundementals, gun storage, shooting positions, and more.

    Students will take a written exam and pass a shooting qualification before earning a certificate of completion for the course.

    You will need to bring:

    • Hearing Protection

    • Notebook/Pen

    If you choose to bring your own firearm, please bring your own ammunition (100 rounds recommended). If you do not own a firearm or do not want to use your own for the class, we will provide a firearm and ammunition for you to use for the live-fire and qualification portions.

  • We will collaborate to establish your individual markmanship goals and determine how we can achieve them together. We will spend a small amount of time discussing firearms safety and shooting fundementals; the majority of our time should be spent shooting on the range improving your skills. It is recommended that you are intimately familiar with firearms safety before seeking private lessons as we will not proceed until an understanding and application of firearms safety has been determined.

    You will need to bring:

    • Safety Glasses

    • Hearing Protection

    • Notebook/Pen

    If you choose to bring your own firearm, please bring your own ammunition (200 rounds recommended). If you do not own a firearm or do not want to use your own, we will provide a firearm and ammunition for you to use for an additional flat-rate fee of $50.

    Pricing: $100 per hour

    Minimum Lesson Duration: 2 hours ($200 minimum charge)

    Prorated Increments: Lessons extending beyond the initial two hours are billed in 15-mnute increments, calculated at the $100/hour rate

    Example: A 2 hour and 15 minute lesson would cost $225;with provided firearm and ammunition: $275
